Kate Schulze, DVM

Dr. Kate Schulze graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She began practicing small animal medicine and surgery in California and three years later undertook a one-year internship at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. In 1989, she returned to the United States and to small animal practice in California.

Dr. Schulze and her husband, Ray, moved to Tucson in 1992. It was Ray's work with Research Corporation that enabled them to return to the desert. They very much enjoy living in the desert and spend their leisure time hiking, birdwatching, swimming, and skiing. They share their home with a cat, one dog and a freshwater aquarium.

Dr. Schulze acquired Sunrise Pet Clinic from Dr. Robert Hoge in 1995. Since that time she has been fortunate to be able to expand the scope of the practice by enhancing the healthcare team and expanding the facility. Now, with 21 years of experience, Dr. Schulze still finds being an integral part of the animal companionship bond to be a special experience and the practice of veterinary medicine to be a privilege.
